Description
Thermo Scientific Sorvall ST 40R refrigerated centrifuge (manufactured 2016) for temperature-controlled sample processing in laboratory workflows such as cell culture and blood processing. This benchtop unit features a digital microprocessor controller, direct brushless induction drive, and a refrigerated CFC-free system with a temperature range of -10 to +40 C plus a pre-cooling function. The centrifuge is rated up to 25,314 x g and 15,200 rpm, with capacity for 4 x 1000 mL and 6 program storage for direct access. The lid uses a motorized latch, and the system is designed around rotor handling and biocontainment bucket sealing concepts for secure operation. Condition is fair: expect minor cosmetic wear including scratches and chipped paint on the front panel, and a minor dent inside the right-side vent consistent with prior laboratory use. Sorvall ST 40R is preowned from a working laboratory environment. Unit powers on and was tested to spin smoothly at set point RPM. Refrigeration was tested to reach -4°C. Cosmetic condition shows scratches and chipped paint on the front panel, inside vent on right side has minor dent consistent with previous laboratory use. Overall condition is fair. Recommended full operational verification and calibration prior to use. Does NOT include rotor.
