The Thermo Scientific Dionex Aquion RFIC system, Model 22176-60018, is a compact ion chromatography platform designed for reliable basic ion analysis in environmental, food safety, and academic labs. It supports electrolytic suppression and offers fast startup times. Despite being classified as Condition F due to a minor issue where the EG current value remains at 0 mA, it still powers on without error. This system features a chemically inert PEEK flow path, a serial dual-piston pump with flow rates from 0.01 to 5.0 mL/min, high-pressure pulse dampener, and a conductivity detector with digital signal processing. Ideal for budget-limited labs, the unit is offered AS-IS and does not include a computer, software, or power/data cables. The device requires 100-240V power at 50/60Hz.
Technician comment
The system powers on with no error status light. When the EG (eluent generator) is turned on, the EG current value does not increase and remains at 0 mA. The mainboard and ECG/CRTC board were replaced, but the issue persists. No further functional testing was performed, as full verification requires Chromeleon software and a compatible PC.
